The 2017 International Convention of BIO, the Biotechnology Innovation Organization, was held June 19-22 in San Diego. More than 16,000 individuals attended BIO 2017, including biotech and pharma C-suite executives, and leaders from academic institutions and biotechnology centers worldwide. At the conference, executive attendees from Imagion Biosystems met with many potential partners eager to form collaborative relationships around the commercial development of MagSense technology. Of particular interest to Imagion Biosystems were a select few makers of the customized antibodies required by MagSense technology for high-specificity targeting of cancer cells. According to BIO 2017 organizers, the massive event is meant to provide an “intensive networking” opportunity resulting in scientific advancements through collaboration. For Imagion Biosystems, the event provided exactly those benefits and was exceptionally worthwhile.
