On Saturday, December 8, 2018, Marie Zhang, PhD presented the poster “Detection of HER2 Positive Tumor Cells Using Functionalized Iron Oxide Nanoparticles” at the 2018 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium. The poster was authored by Dr. Zhang, who is Imagion Biosystems’ Vice President of Research and Pre-clinical Development, and nine collaborating scientists from Imagion Biosystems and the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
The pre-clinical research data presented in the poster suggest that the anti-HER2 antibody conjugated nanoparticles tested are safe, and can provide targeted an specific delivery to cancerous tissue in vivo, and generate measurable signal on Imagion Biosystems magnetic relaxometry instrument.
